I haven’t abandoned my website, I have been under a lot of personal stress, distracted by things I shouldn’t be, which means things don’t get done.
I finally ordered the part I needed, and it’s installed and I have photos. It didn’t come with an o-ring so I had to use the old one, unfortunately it hasn’t fixed the problem, so in a few weeks I’m going to pull it apart again and see if it’s the same problem or a different one with similar symptoms.
I am still roasting, still trying other roasters beans, so far no one beats mycuppa, I’m not sure they ever will.
I’m still dreaming of the day I get a Strega, there are a few cafes around Newcastle that now have levers, I was down the road from The Press Book Club the other day so decided to check out their coffee. When I was younger I always dreamed of owning a book store with a cafe, what could be better than coffee and books and chatting to people? Nothing, well okay yes there might be, I’m just happy that there is one where I live AND they do great lever coffee.
Yes yes I destroyed it with milk 🙂 but it was great, no sugar, just half a shot (their standard shot is a double) and some milk. 15 minutes later when I’d done more talking than drinking it had cooled off it was still great.
This of course is just my personal opinion and we all have different tastes, I have to admit it’s the first coffee I’ve had in Newcastle that I’ve actually thought I’d definitely go out of my way to buy again.
